A field Trip!

to Lincoln park!

in such a nice evening! seriously it was above 60 F

so in my research class, we went to this amazing house museum called Roger Brown Study Collection. he went to our school and became one of the famous Chicago Imagist. According to the curator ,who gave us some introduction to the house museum and Roger’s work, he found his own style of painting when he was really really young, so he became really popular when he was not that old.  I said That’s unfair how he found his own way so easily and Steve…our professor said that I will find my own path too, sooner or later, so just don’t stop working hard.  Finding my own path. so weird how I’m reading this book called Brida who is trying to find her own path.  It’s cool how book can actually connect to your own life.

anyways, so we went there by taking brown line train. I think it was rush hour… It was funny how we were so close to each other because it was packed.  I really wanted to take pictures of our class in he train trying to hold something to not fall or lose balance, but I realized I brought my camera but not a memory card.. that was most stupid mistake I ever had… I’m still regretting, but one of my friend let me barrow her camera to take some pictures, so that was good.

It was unbelievable! so many Various artworks and objects were filling Roger’s place. How can people live like this kind of place? It was  like a museum. No wonder people call this place house museum.

His bed room was also stuffed with many collections. and I would not be able to sleep on that bed because of those two paintings looking down at you sleeping.  but it was such a beautiful place.

Here’s Steve : ) our professor..but we never call him professor Jones.. we call him Steve.  I think he is really cool person to have as a instructor. He is funny.  we were about to go out side to see Roger’s Garage and his sweet classic Mustang!

Yes. I actually sat on it. well, I’m not really crazy about this car but I really liked sat on it.

visiting Roger Brown’s collections was very perculire experience..  He collects all kinds of thing, and I think it’s good hobby to have. I’ve been collectng Saw serieses but that’s about it.  and that’s not even…5 DvDs are not even close to what Roger had been collected. I should collect some other things more. for any inspiration. maybe Brown had inspired by his work too. that’s an good idea,, I’ve learn many things from this visit, and I’m glad we could get out of the school and had a good trip.. it was fun.

Where Am I?
