Sculptural Frame

November 14th, 2009 § 2 Comments

It was due two weeks ago, and since I was kind of busy with other things.. I did not have chance to upload them. Anyways, this project was from Core Studio and we were supposed to make crazy looking sculptural Frame. I got my inspiration from the drawing of stairs by one of my favorite artist, MC ESCHER.  I was very happy because when other people looked at my piece, my piece reminded them of MC Escher.  I am starting to like to work with wood and all the tools because it comes out so nice and you have this accomplishment after the hard work. I’m pretty sure people will have strong accomplishment after finishing their art work other than wood, but I guess I have more accomplishment with woods because I never worked with it before. I just like it: )

starting

all my different sizes of stairs:)

making stairs

making stair

it was long process….but fun:D

wood..

I Love those lines on the wood. so beautiful…Just love them.

arranging them

I put them together.

clamps

a Wood glue and a nail gun and clamps rock!

Final:)

I put some water color on them. I put so much time on making the acutal piece that I did not have enough time to work on painting.. I don’t think I did great job on that.. Also, as usual, I was rushing .. but feedbacks were good, and I like it better when it’s on the wall like that. If I could I work on that painting or something.. well, it went well so that’s all about it right?: )

Where Am I?
